I don't think the incidence of AIDS among gay males is "the ultimate proof" of anything. I also think that JC's original points about the terrible state the Catholic Church is now in because of a number of bad apples and the hierarchy which supported them for years has been obscured by his opportunistic foray into speculating about the incidence of: 1. gays in the priesthood 2. pedophilia among gays I've said this before, but it bears repeating: One of the very negative consequences of this scandal is that homophobia will show its ugly underbelly yet again. It gives the fearful and the phobic reason to restrict the hard-won rights of homosexuals.
