On call, company sees continued softness in IT spending.....Windows XP continues to fire on all cylinders....Company sees total XBox sales through Q4 (Jun) at 3.5-4.0 mln which is a bit lower than most analyst models. This is due to a weak Japan and the company's lost weeks of not selling at lower prices in Europe....stock at 53.43.




17:58 ET MSFT Microsoft (56.37 -0.26) -- Update --
On call, company says enterprise customers are still cautious about spending....XBox sales in theUS were solid, but Japan was weak....Advertising business is looking good.....stock at 53.71.




17:54 ET MSFT Microsoft (56.37 -0.36) -- Update --
On conference call, company says PC demand was a little better than expected, although it was down 3% yoy. PC demand in Japan remains very weak. Company says"we may have seen a bottom in PC demand and we hope for a recovery over the next several months"....For desktop applications, revenue came in a little better than expected...stock at 53.60.
