There are many appalling sexual practices and beliefs (heterosexual ones), that increase the likelihood of the spread of AIDS in Africa. A particularly loathsome one is that sex with a virgin will cure the disease. This is causing many child-rapes by the AIDS-afflicted. Another widespread hetero sexual practice in Africa that increases AIDS risk is the use of dirt, earth, to make the vagina dry and thus increase friction, which the hetero males enjoy. It unfortunately causes internal abrasions.
