'attack' ... mmm, you see, there the parting of ways, as some say 'defend' .... not that many say 'defend well' or 'defend effectively', mind you

'Canada ... has a long history of good behavior' - gee thanks Tim, we're glad you noticed .... however - and in fervent hope of expressing this in polite canehjun manner - you've mispelled 'behaviour'

Not the greatest analogy though perhaps, as the US hasn't tried to physically take our territory since 1814 ... this cannot be said for Israel ... when was the most recent 'settlement' established, anybody know? ... pretty recent, is my impression, it's an ongoing process .... as for Sharon 'visiting the holiest place for Jews' - aw c'mon, he had to have known the effects of that ... provocation plain and simple imho, and effective as well, he notched up the Temple Mount alongside the Sabras and Shatilas for which he is known

Not that i want to get involved in lengthy discussion on this, feels rather futile ... something has to cut the cycle, and i don't think it will be either israeli tanks or palestinian suicide bombers, they are both proven not to work

karen - article on zionism written 1912 - newadvent.org
... it doesn't mention Nathan Birnbaum - us-israel.org
... who as i recall was with Herzl in the original discussions of Uganda with the british ... years before H announced it to the zionist organisation, it was kept secret and considerable negotiation of fine points done in private ... it was pretty much worked out, and devastated H when the group at large turned it down .... ah but now that i think about it, i may have Birnbaum mixed up with somebody else

But thanks Tim and karen, for keeping us above the first chakra .... gee i feel like i need a shower -g-
