The Arabs rulers in Sudan have killed 2 million Non Arab Africans Well it helps to have a closed society so those kinds of things don't "leak out".... Just like the existence of slavery in Sudan and elsewhere in Africa is not politically correct. Of course, when you have all of that oil money, you can buy a lot of time on the networks. Hawk

Our indifference to Arab-Arab violence troubles me, but I don't understand why people who support Israel bring it up. If we were to become as outraged at Arab-Arab violence as we are at Israeli-Arab violence, would that make us any less outraged at Israeli-Arab violence? Do you really want to make that argument? BTW, the world IS outraged at what is going on in the Sudan. One difference is that most of the violence occurs in extremely remote places, without the eyes of the modern world being upon it. No TV cameras. We have never learned much about the Arab world. I've studied a tiny bit lately due to my interest in the history of money and banking -- very surprised to learn how much of modern commerce was borrowed in the medieval era from the Arabs, who learned some from the Indians and Chinese, who in turn learned some from the Iranians, and some came down from the Babylonians. Negotiable instruments, accounting, credit. Fascinating.
