re: the amount of money required to subsidize ANWAR's infrastructure
I admit that I have not looked at it that closely. It seems most object to the possible effect on environment rather than funding

combjelly,

What is missing is enough money to put them over the hump, and the amount of money required to subsidize ANWAR's infrastructure for the time required would do it. Look at the numbers...

Why would ANWAR infrastructure need to be subsidized? Wouldn't the oil companies put up the money to build the infrastructure, based on the future returns selling the oil? They do this all over the world, why would ANWAR need to be subsidized?
