Sig, I just came over to the Dell thread for the first time. The reason for my visit is that I bought a new Dell computer and, although it arrived yesterday, I won't hook it up until tomorrow. They are/were really pushing the deals on new PCs lately.
Their pricing was way way better than anyone else. Nice for number of units shipped, but not so nice for
the bottom line.
Also, the web is rife with people that have Purchased Dell's that have nothing but bad to say about the support
and customer help lines. Since this is an area that is easy to cut expenses on and in the short term make
things look rosier than they are, I have to wonder how it is all going to play out for them in future Qs.
Anyway, just a couple of casual thoughts,
Lew
