Ramtron's revenues more than triple from Q1 last year

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Ramtron International Corp. today reported revenues surged to $12.6 million in the first quarter--more than triple $3.5 million in revenues reported for the same period last year.

The company's ferroelectric RAM (FRAM) product revenues were $4.6 million vs. $748,000 in Q1 of 2001. Ramtron's Enhanced DRAM product revenues totaled $5.7 million in the just-ended period compared to $2.4 million in the same quarter last year.

As a result, Ramtron's first-quarter net loss was $1.2 million vs. $6.6 million in the first quarter of 2001. The Colorado Springs company had a net loss of $4.5 million on revenues of $8.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2001.
