The media are in an extremely competitive mode at the present time because lots of eyes are being focused on the the events in the ME.

A little fudging goes a long way to sell papers and air time.

A shame that reporting which is even a bit more objective is going the way of the dodo bird. Where are the Murrows when we need them?

The new media's standard seems to be not to let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Ariel Sharon never said those words; they have been falsely attributed to him. From today's opinionjoural.com:

I have no idea whether Sharon ever said those words, but the link you offer at the bottom of this post is to a website for the Wall Street Journal editorial page. We should all keep, at best, a jaundiced eye toward those folk.
