Ted,

Re: BTW#2 What is your your ideal of communism or socialism?

That everything that is built is owned by the people communally, and production is shared. That the people en toto determine the direction in which they want to go. Probably the closest I have seen [or rather read about] to real communism are the kibbutzim in Israel....at least in theory they sound like communist prototypes.

Typically there is great resistance to this among the vast majority of people against the off the wall ideas like this. Therefore, it is close to impossible to establish something like this on a voluntary basis.

Hence, Lenin etc. came up with this idea of Dictatorship of Proletariat, the idea behind this is to seize the control of the State, use the power of the State to crush the opposition (kind of like acting on your idea of hatred of "the rich" - or bourgeoisie, as your fellow marxists call them). Establish this "Dictatorship of the Proletariat" for a period of time, until the opposition is crushed, and out of this reign of terror, communism is supposed to emerge. Well, it never does.
