Stop exporting? lol! Over half the Canadian oilpatch is held in American hands with the other half held by publicly listed companies. The Canadian fed does hold about 20% of Petro Canada - and says it has a constitution right at controlling foreign trade - but I see this as highly unlikely because of the politics of the Western half of this country.
