No one knows how many gay priests there are in the clergy. No one has yet quantified the ratio of male v. female victims. Pedophiles target either sex. I see the problem as: pedophilia the coverup of pedophilia by the Church hierarchy Please remember that priests like Shanley and Geoghan were allowed to indulge themselves for scores of years, resulting of hundreds of victims per priest. I believe that to allow this scandal to be used as a means to pillory all gays would be very wrong.
