"direction is up"

even MSFT? Hope not, just shorted it. After the lowered guidance and the incredible spin following it I think that as soon as the options related support has finished (maybe a few hours, maybe Monday) then MSFT will quickly be revisiting the Sep lows - at least.

According to estimates and guidance, their earnings over the next four quarters, compared to the four quarters just passed, are set to increase by 2%. Their revenues are set to increase by 11%. By contrast the one year forward PE is 30.6 and the forward PS is 10.2

Relatively new lurker here.........VERY impressed by your move into MSFT around 52 last night. At that point, with the sharp break and the initial gloomy read of the earnings report, I wouldn't have touched it with a 10-foot pole. Would be very interesting for me - and, I'm sure, for others - if you could give us a run-down on the reasons for your move - e.g., did you have a downside target in mind, some chart point you had been looking at, etc???

If you've already touched on this in one of your posts, let me know, and I'll look for it....This board is SO ACTIVE it's impossible to keep up with all of it........TIA

Zeev,

Are you still holding CHKP? Where do you think it goes after earnings next Tuesday?

Zeev, This market today looks like it has no direction.

You still think they can run it up into the close?

I am starting to doubt it very much, given that it is options expiration. A big up or down move would be a big surprise.
