is it family of 4 income or a single? Ok, got the right numbers. I was looking at some funky data involved in calculating some federal low-income program. To your point: a family of four with a household income of $70k had better be able to save quite a bit, or we're all in big trouble: median 4-person household income in the USofA if $42k. So if folks earning $70k aren't saving, most of this country's population is going to be subsisting on Social Security payments. Yikes.
