Excuse for being a little slow here, but are you saying that the fuel cell uses only hydrogen for creation of electricity? Leaving the carbon behind unused seems like not a very efficient way to go.

What's wrong with hydrogen tanks? My guess is that's it is the highest density fuel?

What is actually the fuel for these fuel cells, just regular oil / petroleum / gasoline, run through some process to extract hydrogen?

And how does it beat electric power (batteries) for powering the cars? I understand the fuel cell has a potential of grater range, and lower weight, but a lot more problems getting the energy out of source. There would still need to be some battery (smaller), since my guess is that the fuel cells can deliver steady amount of power, while the car needs to accelerate, go uphill etc.
