I agree we are all guessing. But I don't agree that knowing the trend is the same as knowing how high the price will go. I say the trend is up today. It could change tomorrow, a month from now, or longer. I don't know what the price will be when the trend changes, but I guarantee it will change. Once you enter a long trade, it is important to keep a watchful eye for a change in trend. I usually keep an eye on the stocks that led the way up and when they all start to rollover simultaneously that is usually a reliable sign of a trend change. When this happens I put in stops below the market and let the market take me out. I never catch the exact bottom or top but if get 40 to 60 percent of the move, I am thrilled.
