I came across this interesting comment (in the last paragraph) in the Tuesday (4/16) Wall Street Journal in the article "For Oak Value, Berkshire Is No. 1".

"In the cable industry, Comcast is especially attractive, said Mr. Brumley [fund manager], who believes the company's purchase of the cable-TV operations of AT&T Corp's Broadband unit would make Comcast the industry's "800-pound gorilla." Comcast shares, currently trading around $30, represented 4.9% of Oak Value's portfolio Dec. 31.

Among other favorable factors, Mr. Brumley also believes that the traditional evaluation of cable companies - the rate of subscriber growth - will be shelved in favor of an analysis of these companies ability to sell new services to existing customers over existing networks. Video on demand and high-speed Internet access, for example, will be increasingly important measures of cable-company strength, he added."
