Hello Sarmad.....
I haven't heard a word about Finis...but for anyone with a full bowl, he is pretty darn good with that flushing handle.

Oh I agree, outright sale. But what you got to wonder is, apart from moving losses off the books, what does IBM think it is getting out of it that is going to move more storage systems than they otherwise would? Has all the earmarks of some internal marketing wonderperson spinning webs and tales.

Its kind of interesting. Seagate makes money selling SCSI drives to EMC who makes money selling storage boxes to customers. IBM loses money making SCSI drives that it puts into storage boxes that it probably loses money on selling to customers (I say probably since they aren't gaining market share and thats a pretty good indicator). Someone has got to believe Hitachi is going to do one hell of a lot better job building them or IBM is gonna procure with Seagate. Actually, being its IBM, a whole lot of people have to believe some cockamamie story. It just has that "What the hell were we thinking" feel to it.
Well well well. Maxtor annual report just arrived. Think I'll go read it and see if I can't find something worth starting an arguement over :o)
