Going beyond the country club scope is where the idea fails, when an attempt is made to make it large and compulsory. Joe, I don't know if its be done beyond the size of a kibbutz. Like I have said previously, I don't think Russia or China are accurate representations of what Marx was suggesting. However, there are probably many like me who they think its an interesting concept but do not want to participate in such a system. I suspect Marx may have been way, way ahead of his time. BTW I didn't realize that entry into a kibbutz was controlled. People vote on who can move there and who can't? My friends never told me that. ted
