Had there been a reasonable discussion on the issue, Congress might have struck a balance between the environment, national security, and the global economy. I am pretty sure that the last thing Democrats want is a reasonable discussion. They want to keep all things "environmental" on a level of dogma, emotion, knee-jerk reaction, rather than reason. Joe, at times it is emotional.........its an instinctive perception that things are out of balance. Not all things can be answered by adding 2+2 = 4 like scientists want and expect. There are things not explained by logic or deduction. And its unfortunate...because men have ruled for most of humanity's existence, the human race is woefully underdeveloped in areas that do not encompass logic and reason and practicality. BTW why do you think the keeper of the planet is called Mother Earth instead of Father Earth. Emotions have been highly underrated, particularly by us men. Its like milk....get some [emotions], it does a body good. :~)) ted
