Baseless. Whitewater cost 80 million and 6 -7 years and came up with nothing. Just a refusal to admit he was unfaithful, as if anyone didn't know he was before that. Whitewater was the most disgraceful waste of time and money in the history of politics, and was an engineered attempt at character assassination due to the fact that Clinton was the most successful presdient of our lifetimes and he HAD to be destroyed somehow or the GOP might not recover for decades. Different sort of assassination from JFK and RFK but an assassination just the same. Whitewater finally closed this year with no charges filed against anyone except those who refused to help them. Politics at its dirtiest and most obvious. Meanwhile Bush, Cheney and their buddies at Enron have plenty to answer for, and they will. Now that is real crime.
