If x86-64 and Yamhill are the same then the testimony about announcing the Win64 support for x86-64 first, does not make any sense. From reading it, it is quite obvious to me now that x86-64 and Yamhill are incompatible.

Think about it. Only Microsoft's ultimatum could force Intel to be compatible, but Microsoft does not benefit from a war with Intel.
