Oh, but I HAVE met the esteemed then-Governor, JDN... -g- He used a jury duty summons as a photo opp which drew the press -- thanks to copious 'pre-event' media alert efforts of the PR staffers in the Mansion, which included, of course, Karen Hughes and Karl Rove -- to cover the initial selection of about 500 Travis County residents .... I met him and conversed with him on the lawn of the Coliseum here. Next day, he 'recused himself' with a trumped-up implication that official state legislation that was ongoing presented some BS sort of 'bias' that was outside the noble U.S. standard of 'fair and impartial' courts, legal system, etc ... Quite telling in hindsight, ain't it? bia
