Many people experiment with behaviors, and it is only after having initiated those behaviors that the negative psychological manifestations appear. The context of the discussion was sexual behaviors between consenting adults. I submit that one does not permit a "lover" to urinate or defecate on him or her or become sexually excited by such, for example, unless there's already, er, some loose wiring. I agree with you, though, that engaging in the behavior can exacerbate any preconditions or send them off in strange directions. Karen
