What do you think the Strategic Pet. Reserves are there for? Just to say we have it? I think the strategic petroleum reserve is there to take care of artificial disruption of supply, when imports can't reach our shores. Joe, I don't remember the exact details but as I understand it, there was a shortage of heating oil on the East coast and colder than normal temps. Prices were rising quickly. It got you all out of a bind.....and yet you complain. At the time, the Reps. complained that it was a Clinton ploy to get Gore elected. It seems there's always something that make you guys unhappy even when it helps you out. ted
