Re ANF:

We shall see. For the record, I'm already boycotting ANF products (and have, my entire life), and also those of AEOS, The Gap, Banana Republic, The Sharper Image and a list to long to remember. I'm a staunch economic supporter of REI, The North Face (at outlet malls!) and Big Five discounted sports shoes--I hope they don't do anything politically sensitive so I'll need to change my buying patterns.

For the record ANF's otherwise strong chart looks just a little squirrelly short term:

Re: ANF T-shirts

I recall Rush Limbaugh speaking recently about some sports team in Colorado made up of Amerindians and Hispanics. Called their team the "Fighting Whities" so that Caucasoids would know how they felt with "Redskins", "Indians", "Aztecs", "Chippewas", and various other stereotyping nicknames.
Of course it backfired, the team was swamped with requests for T-shirts, bumper stickers and whatever other paraphernalia that may have existed.
I suspect the Caucasians were only happy to be perceived as combative and warriorlike. Now if they had the nickname "Weakling Sissified Whities", maybe there might be some cause for outrage.
In actuality, there are some teams named after white peoples: "Fighting Irish", "Celtics", "Vikings" come to mind. "Canuck" is used almost derogitoriallly when referring to Canadians. I'm not really sure who the "Raiders" are, but I've heard that the name refers to the christian crusaders who battled Islamic expansionists.
