If I were living in area where I knew there were
terrorists and I was not, I would not be overly
surprised to see a tank coming down the street.

And I would be glad the terrorists were dead and I would hope a leader would come along that could bring peace.

That's my honest response.
It is ironic that all these people who claim to want
peace make excuses for Hamas and the other Palestinian
extremists.

<< If someone was mowing down your house and family with a tank would you shoot back? >>

I would leave. In Jenin (a terrorist breeding ground) they were given ample warning. The offensive started slow and the people were given days to leave. The homes that got mowed down were the hiding place for terrorists. Yes, some women and children were killed in the process, but that can only be blamed on the terrorists.

If you choose to breed, train and house terrorists, you are going to get your ass kicked. That's exactly what happened.

The situation is horrible, but it's unavoidable now, Israel is going to hunt down and kill as many terrorists as they can. They have every right.

IMO,
Dave

You ask?, "If someone was mowing down your house and family with a tank would you shoot back?"

No, only an imbecile would fire bullets at a tank.

The Israeli army gave all inhabitants of those towns the opportunity to surrender;

that they chose to fight an army and lost is their problem.

as has always been the case, these attacks perpetrated on the israeli public by Arafat was a strategic choice, and he used his people as connon fodder, as all arab nations do, believing he would finally get the interntational community to bring in the UN, so he could hide behind them as the Egyptions and Lebanese successfully did in years past, as they rebuilt their ability to attack the jewish state.
