Russ,
I fell for PLY and SUL after the horse was out of the gate. Little better numbers for me on GNG. I don't consider WTC in this group whatsoever. Its going to be great. Its funny you mentioned PLY, I picked up $1600.00 worth at the bottom. Only a tiny tiny dabble but willing to get dinner money out of it. Bob Brummell is doing a great job with geoshares. I do not understand PP's and warrants that well, but am willing to jump on board as long as I am not too big a % behind the initial players. Speaking of quiet on the threads my favorite long term hold may turn out to be Cumberland. It keeps going up and I keep adding slowly but have a very nice position already. The magnitude of their current drilling program is a sight to behold. Look at the map attached to their latest news release. Everybody says high cost, high cost, but with more reserves and a mine plan to up the tonnage milled per day has this thing economic at less than today metal prices.(In a recent NR) They are working on a 20-f and feasibility study to follow after phase II of the their drilling plan to be completed by this fall. Results will start popping on multiple holes every three weeks for several months in the future.
Can you tell I like and am long Cumberland?
Tom

<I accumulated my GNG stake, and actually that's a pretty big one, when the hype died off and it traded quietly down to 37. >

A smart move! But GNG stock will drop very fast if they make no discovery on this round. IMO, GNG is a great speculation but still very high risk. The odds of silver and gold continuing to move higher with the MFLs and BAYs following behind are far greater than GNG making the large discovery we are all hoping for.

I guess I am being more conservative here.. but I've seen too many drill plays going south to make them the foundation of a gold portfolio.

Russ, out of lurker mode to post some info.

First, I must say thank you to a number of people on this thread, but afraid of forgetting names I will only mention the three that everyone will recognize readily:
Russ, Claude and Elizabeth. You have been a great help both in picking many or the right stocks as well as getting a better understanding of the industry and the "game"...

Next, as a contribution, I will relay what a relative geologist active in the mining industry wrote on MR.to when sent their latest NR. It`s only one man`s opinion, and it is worth what you pay for it, but this guy is knowledgeable and conservative: "The drill program is serious but the latest results only added lower percentage tonnage to already marginal %cu. Is the best still to come? Will they continue drilling (despite those results)? This is a gamble" . I have followed MR for a long time, but still no position and his comments certainly put a damper on my interest.
