"represent a fringe element of Muslims" Which fringe element are you talking about? When I think of a Muslim fringe element I am thinking of the small percentage who denounced the 9/11 attacks and terrorism. My sense is the vast majority of Muslims viewed the attack positively or at least neutrally. Dont underestimate the difference in the values systems between the West and Islam. The West may no view this as a religious war but Islam certainly appears too.
