The subtle moves of the Bush administration are motivated by his pals in the petroleum industry, none of whom would be happy if any of their assets were "toasted off the map" or "impaired" by fallout (of either the nuclear or political variety) from the toasting.

Dear C: I THINK I am neutral on this subject in that I see both sides views. Your position though is way in the minority in the WORLD. From Europe to Asia Israel is being blistered for their tough treatment of the Palistinian refugees. In the long run I dont think this is a good thing for Israel. They went from being the viewed unfortunate party to being now viewed OUTSIDE THE USA as the BULLY. If it turns out there was a massacre things are REALLY going to go badly for them and probably also for us as we are their closest and now maybe ONLY ally. jdn
