I don't disagree with much of anything you say, all I'm saying is that I can't find any statistics to back up your original claim that Americans are saving more than we're being led to believe. I'm not even saying I feel you're wrong, just that I haven't seen any evidence in support of your claim.

We are also no putting any of this in context: to say discuss expected net worth of early-stage boomers is not the same thing as discussing the same about late-stage boomers.

Put bluntly, the late-boomers are ****ed.
