the heirs would benefit tremendously- and taking all people in the chain - it would be a good investment- if there were no tax- if inflation stays as it has been.

wasn't the louisiana purchase a good deal. granted, we have invested a lot in the mid third of the country in the past 200 years. but, $15 million for the land 200 years ago- seems like a good investment. it shows that sometimes it pays to invest first and explore what you bought later. lewis and clarke explored for u s - after u s bought- to see what they got. of course, france probably knew less about what she sold than u s knew what he bought.
