Charles Re..Since there's no more SOI barton, I have a hard time seeing Mobile Barton getting past 1.6Ghz at .13. We'll have to wait for .09 for that to happen.<<<<

I was curious as to why you would think that it would take .09 for 1.6 ghz, as Tbred just introed at 1.4. However I see it is my mistake, as mobile XP 1400 is a quantispeed no. That said if we look at AMD's press release we see. Production shipments of the mobile AMD Athlon XP processors, including models 1400+ and 1500+, began in first quarter of 2002. Notebook PCs based on the mobile AMD Athlon XP processor, models 1600+ and 1700+, are expected to be available later this quarter.

According to AMD mobile Tbred will intro at 1700 later this quarter. Wouldn't a moble 2000+ be 1.66 ghz if it is rated the same as desktop XP. And desktop XP hit that at .18. Shouldn't mobile make that easily at .13? If not, why not? Thanks.
