when my father graduated nyu law school- he got a job with an nyu alum- Silver. Silver represented Ed Land. My father was the first president of polaroid- a dummy prez. ed land asked to borrow $5 from my father. my father was making $5/week. my father soon started his own firm. polaroid went on to glory for about 70 years.

i saw sleeper by wood allen. he finds himself in a situation 200 years in the future- about 2173- and he assumes in a now ironic throwaway line that his polaroid stock must be worth a fortune.
