<VERY INTERESTING... There were from the Balkan region, eh?? Certainly not Slavs (they were later), but certainly not Arabs either.... Hmmmm...... Could this account for the traditional Arab disdain for the Palestinian people (whoever they are), because they aren't actually "Arabs"?? The Phonecians were known as the Sea People. Not much is known of their origins but it is believed by most archeologists that they sailed south from Crete and/or other of the Greek Islands and settled first in what is now Lebanon where their earliest ruins are found.
