How do you know this? Seriously I try to ask many people I know if they have heard anything about the golds. I have never come across ANYONE, except people on the internet. They have all heard of CSCO, GE, etc.

In fact they think it strange or funny if I happen to mention I am invested in the area. They seem to think it is for survivalists and such.

I am talking about people like my grandmother, father, mother, father in law, brother in law, classmates, workmates etc...they have no clue. And they do continue to invest in other areas for what it is worth.

You're missing the whole point... the S&P is the market for the sake of this argument, like it or not.. THAT is where the money goes... the system is too big for all the money to find good stuff, that's life. Money is piling into the big stuff.
