U of A Law School Bans Bubba

The University of Arkansas, whose most famous alum happens to be disgraced ex-President Bill Clinton, is holding a seminar on his presidency in June.

But the school is barring Clinton himself from attending in person.

Why? Invited panelists fear his presence will intimidate his critics.

"Lots of scholars want to attend," reveals U.S. News & World Report's "Washington Whispers," "but they've made the rather odd request that Clinton stay away.... Seems some feared Bubba's presence would inhibit their 'frank critique' of him."

The U of A scholars aren't the only folks who want nothing to do with Monica's old boyfriend. Six of eight ex-Clinton staffers currently seeking statewide office around the country don't want him campaigning for them.

Ex-Clinton Attorney General Janet Reno's official campaign biography doesn't even mention his name, according to the Washington Post.
