The Republicans have been in power for so long that they believe they can make their own rules.

Look at the article about Big Tobacco on the Enron forum. The belief is that American and
British tobacco companies sent thousands of containers to Aruba where the final destination
of the shipments were undocumented. According to The Nation and the program NOW by Bill
Moyers, Columbia drug money paid for the cigarettes which were shipped into Columbia illegally
so that duty could be avoided.

The American and British cigarette companies were suppose to go on trial last fall in the US but since
everyone was concerned with 9/11 and the war on terrorism, the Bush administration and Tom Delay's
attempt to have the trial postponed were successful. The trials could still go forward in Britain.
