As a follow-up to your post the other day about the banking situation in Argentina:

Argentina suspends all banking activity

The Argentine central bank has declared an indefinite suspension of all banking and foreign exchange activity as it develops a plan it hopes will prevent the country's banking system from collapsing. Indications are that the plan involves converting the bulk of individual savings into bonds. This is the first time that Argentina has enacted a complete freeze of the banking system.

I sure am glad I closed out all my accounts in Buenos Aires a couple weeks ago. <ggg>
