Even though it's a society where lots of people enjoy anal sex without the slightest shred of shame? Yes, and even if there are people (apparently) who enjoy urinating and defecating upon each other, or torturing one another. BTW, how do you know that it is "lots" of people? Is there research available on this?

Even though it's a society where lots of people enjoy anal sex without the slightest shred of shame? I read quickly over and didn't dwell on any of that discussion. What I found most interesting about it was E's statement about her friends. I'm quite sure I've never had a conversation with girlfriends about any of our sexual proclivities. I find myself indifferent to whatever people do in their bedrooms but intrigued by the thought of their discussing it among their chums. Not sure what to make of that. In any event, I don't have a clue what "lots of people" enjoy or not. Except for what E told us, that is.
