There not really wedges, more like declining channels. I've come to think of them as leading diagonals, they're not elliot triangles. I see them alot prior to massive moves in the direction of the trend. AA comments on them often also. They can occur in either direction. Maybe i'll post some pictures later.

As for what gets us an island reversal the semi quip book to bill, if it's received positively.
