I still think it's too early to tell on this one. There is no doubt the political leadership is there. We need to wait to see whether the church leadership is there; and whether the congregants are.

The most deeply, well entrenched anti-semitism in the country, imho, is in these movements.

If this political movement at the top carries along the people at the bottom, then this country has moved much further down the road of sanity, at least on the score of combating the scourge of anti-semitism, than I thought possible.

I read it as a marriage of convenience at the top right now. The political leadership of the Xn right sees this as an opportunity to drive a wedge, however, small, between the jewish vote and the dems. Who knows whether convenience becomes something larger.
