Today wasn't really a washout or a signal that the market is heading for a lower trading range. Volume was rather light and the market didn't close at a low. We'd have to go below 1700 with volume and conviction before I was convinced that we're heading for a lower trading range. For now the 1700 to 1900 trading range we've been in is in tact.

I think the March 21 rally slid off the 20- or 21-day volatility. Since today's selloff was about the same size in percentage terms, the VXN wasn't affected much.
