Dan, I was being sarcastic. I know all about Hammer's EV7-like topology. I also know that Microsoft's support for ccNUMA isn't solely for Sledgehammer, either.

Let's just leave it at that.

Dan, Hammer's 4-way topology could have been pretty efficient, had they bothered with a third ccHT channel to cut down the latency across opposite nodes. As it is, any access to remote memory has to snoop every other node, and any bandwidth benefits from the point to point busses is lost to overhead. It's two steps forward and one step back. Intel's high bandwidth shared busses should have equal or greater performance, especially the high bandwidth McKinley bus.
