Del, building a large structure to support the size and weight of the blades is simply a question of stress and the strength of materials. Building things that spin with stress is quite common. You use hundreds of such items every day. OK so you live in a mud hut and don't.

I'd guess that a lot of the work being done is really funded as PR and eco-science projects. Building a tech toy is always a worthwhile endeavor. The only negative is that the techno retards will import some grand significance to an otherwise mundane task. Do you know anyone like that. hey check out watman.com can you see the windmills in one of my computers. I think orbs are cool. All must agree they are cooling.
