EXPORT, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 2, 2002--AMI DODUCO, a Technitrol company (NYSE:TNL), announced that it signed M. Gottlieb Associates, Inc. (MGA) as a sales agency to further expand its penetration of the automotive market.
"As vehicles incorporate more features and functionality, tier-one automotive suppliers are increasingly interested in our electrical contact products, particularly precision insert-molded component subassemblies," said Albert Thorp, III, Chief Executive Officer of AMI DODUCO. "And as these companies continue to consolidate their supply base to increase quality and reduce costs, we believe AMI DODUCO will be an ideal manufacturing partner due to our end-to-end capabilities - from electrical contact production to precision stamping to plastic injection molding to extensive engineering support. MGA will enable us to leverage these strengths by helping us stay close to existing customers and identify new ones."

Established in 1967, MGA represents leading manufacturers of electrical, electronic and mechanical products. The company will represent AMI DODUCO at key automotive accounts throughout North America. MGA is headquartered in Kokomo, Indiana, and has sales offices in the U.S., Mexico, the U.K., and Singapore.

"We are excited to represent AMI DODUCO," said Mark Schutte, President of MGA. "They have what it takes to be a world-class supplier in this business - a full set of production capabilities, an unparalleled global presence, and the broadest product line in the contact products market."
