Jews are waiting for the Messiah only as long as he doesn't show up. A pure waiting attitude. An expectation.
Now as for Jesus, had he existed and the book written about him correct as far as the politics go ( not the miracles : 230 in four books!), then the Jews had him killed.
The only problem is that he needed not exist in order for the first book to be written, etc, that there is no proof of his existence whatsoever, just like for Moses, Samson, etc; while archeologists work every single day of their life... and did find the base of a statue on which half an inscription remains reading " ...rator ..ate " or other letters, and historians had other facts and records about his life.

So till some proof, I consider Jesus a legend. A legend with a morale that is, but with no more value than the North American Indian ones, which are not in fashion, I wonder why ?
