Tim, yes, they are homo sapien in the sense their dna is the same as ours. However, are they living, thinking, breathing human beings in the first trimester..........my opinion is they are not.

There is a fine line here which makes me curious as to how you define what it is to be human. I am particularly curious given that you seem absolutely certain the first trimester embryo should not be aborted. How is an embryo the equivalent to the fully formed human?
