Hi Frank: Wish I could.

Miss not being able to post more often, but I can barely read the threads let alone post. One major thing I saw a month ago was some reg passed to allow US entities in FOREX to directly trade in the Canadian markets with out an intermediary in Canada. How they can legally do that tax wise I do not know, but they have the regulation in place. Couple things I noticed recently: Central banking wise: Seems like when they get their hooks in a new economy, first thing is to pass new CB laws, then: Mandantory vehicle insurance, restrictive forex exchange regulations, closed door policy in the approval regulations for entities to market bullion, etc. Turkey just established a new metals exchange with only about six approved by the government to trade. Czhekslovakia established new CB laws last couple years with bailout of the financial sector, established requirement for vehicle insurance to protect asset valuation and jump start the banking sector with vehicle loan business. Same thing coming for Afghanistan, etc. Made about 20% on Komercni Bank earlier this year. Looking to pricing for the bank sector securities (emerging markets) after October 30. Establish small positions and watch for entry, whenever that may be. Peru banks have gone thru some shake out but may do so again. This all just an aside from the PM sector for me. No bank sector security is safe now IMO. Did you hear about AIG asking NYSE to check out the big short situation?

Hope to get with you later on the portfolios. May be start portfolio to go with the SD II thread with all the Juniors and Gassers, in addition to the listed index(s) that post with the board message.
