14:20 ET Qualcomm: Government crackdown reportedly hurts Korean CDMA sales
(QCOM) 34.04 -0.99: -- Update -- Hearing from sources that the Korea Herald is reporting that
April CDMA handset sales in Korea are expected to fall sharply from March due to a government
crackdown on illegal handset subsidies. Samsung said to be predicting a decline from 1.6 mln units
in March to 1.0 mln units in April. LG also said to have been quoted in the article stating that sales
have virtually stopped in the past few weeks due to the government's stiff penalties against carriers.
